Hello Classmates:
I had a very exciting day today touring the small City of Bardstown. Bardstown has a population of about 11,000 and is a very old city having been settled in the year 1780. I have attached a photo of the main business street downtown with a view of the Court House at the end of the street. A better view of the Court House up close is attached also. The Court House was constructed in the year 1792 for a sum of $30,000 dollars! That would be millions of dollars if built today! Bardstown was voted Best Small Town In America a few years ago and the local population is very proud of that. Directly across the street from the Court House is a historical Drug Store which still has a soda fountain in use. Our grandparents would be more familiar with that than our class, but I had to see it, so went in for a fountain drink.
Miss my classmates,
